Our story
How a thirst for adventure became a home
Bringing people together, getting into conversation, being there for one another and supporting each other – these values have accompanied us all our lives.
When we came to Sankt Gilgen in 2021, we felt it right away: this is where special people meet, this is where community grows, this is where we want to put down roots. Add to that our joy of trying new things – because sometimes a great adventure begins with a simple property search and ends with espresso, olive oil and a whole lot of joie de vivre.
And that's how LIVA came to be.
With our café, our shop and our olive oil, we brought several passion projects to life at once. Today we couldn't be happier that it has all been embraced so warmly – and that we're finding our footing more firmly every day in the demanding world of hospitality.
Our wonderful team
As career changers we had a particularly steep learning curve – probably the only curve with even more swing than our milk foam. We quickly realised how valuable experience, knowledge and passion are. And that's exactly what our wonderful team brings in every single day. Our staff know the hospitality trade, have plenty of clever ideas, and often already know the answer while we're still wondering where the right spoon is kept.
Every single one of them helps make LIVA the place we always wished for. We bring courage and a thirst for adventure, our team brings skill, heart and experience – and together that becomes something truly special.
This is LIVA.
LIVA stands for freedom, pleasure and joie de vivre. For good conversations over a double espresso, shared moments over a slice of red velvet cake, special finds in our shop, and olive oil with plenty of sunshine and passion in it.
Our wish is a warm, lively place where people come together, feel at ease and love to linger. A bit like your own living room – just with better coffee and a bigger selection of cakes.
